They're here!!

Born at approximately 8:15 p.m. (Carson) and 8:20 p.m. (Cade). Carson was 4lbs 7oz and Cade was 4lbs 13oz.

Carson was hauled off to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for about half an hour for closer monitoring, but he was released and they are both in the nursery now.

Amy Jo was great in the delivery and is quite the trooper. She is looking forward to some well-deserved rest.
Here's Carson

Here's Cade

ok... those are some of the cutest newborns I have ever seen! Seriously. Lots of newborns just are weird looking, but cute because you know they will turn out ok..., no seriously. Carson and Cade however, ARE SO ADORABLE!! I am not just saying that. They have such a distinct look. I can't tell who they look like. They are just so cute. Are they identical? Did you have a C section? so many questions, when all you need is to not be on the computer blogging or emailing some highschool friend who you wish wouldn't check your blog so often.
Just enjoy your babies! There is nothing in my life that compares to meeting Lucy. I saw her and instantly felt like I had known her forever. When I was pregnant, I remember telling my mom how nervous I was about not having the connection I wanted with my newborn, I was just worried. She told me that her Grandma always used to tell her that you don't muster up love for your babies, they bring their love with them. Wow... is that ever true. That was confirmed the moment I saw Lucy and that helps me now as I anticipate #2. I worry about not being able to love it like I love Lucy. But I know the baby will bring it's love and everything will multiply. I am envious of this amazing day you and Shane are having. There is nothing better than realizing that life isn't about you anymore, it is about them. They owe you everything Amy, few could have done what you and Shane have...!
Nothing I can say really does any of this justice. CONGRATS!
Love
Katy

Oh wow! Congratulations!!! What sweet babies. They were born on my husbands birthday and I think in two years they get to have their birthday on Thanksgiving. What could you possibly be more thankful for? I'm so happy for you guys.

Oh they are so beautiful! Katy is so right too! Newborns can look funny and weird...mine do! But Cade and Carson are so cute and of course precious... Of course you need as much rest and cuddling with your babies as possible, so dictate to Shane and have him post all the labor details! Congrats again! You'll be the best parents!

We are soooo excited for you!!! Yeah! We've all been waiting for these boys for a long time. And they are here safe and sound. They are absolutley adorable. What a miracle. I think they look like little Tucker boys!! We'll have to see though, they change so much. Just enjoy every moment. This newborn stage goes way too fast. We love you and can't wait to meet your little boys in January!!!

I can't believe it!! They are here and man are they cute boys! Watch out ladies here they come.....just kidding, but really they are going to be heartbreakers. You just don't get any cuter than that. Man, thanks Katy for the great comment....I second everything she said. I have a ton of questions too. I hope that you are recovering well and that you get to go home soon. I still can't believe they are here. They are truly precious little babies. And they couldn't have asked for better parents. We love you guys and are thinking of you. CONGRATS!!!

I want to bawl my eyes out...but I am at school right now...so I will just congratulations!!!! Two beautiful boys!!! Do you know if they are identical or not?...to me they look different but I usually don't know what I am talking about!! And now the craziness really begins!!! I am so happy for you and your new family!!! Wish I could hold them!!

oh and it is just such an amazing blessing that your little guys are in the nursery already! Amy you deserve so much ...something...for what you did for those little boys...so many multiples have to be in NICU for days, weeks and months! Staying in that bed and being so careful brought your boys here healthy and at they right time! I guess what you deserve is just what you got..two healthy babies! I agree with Katy when she said she was envious of the miracle you have just experienced...that was the best day of my life and such an exciting thing to go through! And they do grow wayyyy too fast!!! Just hold them and cuddle them and let them do all the things those parenting books say not to let them do...like fall asleep in your arms or during a feeding or sleep with you!! They won't be little for long! Okay...I will stop talking now:)

YES! YES! YES! Amy, it was so good to talk to you this morning. Your dad called last night with the great news we were all waiting for! It is hard to find the words to express the joy and thankfulness that all of us are feeling! I can't wait to see these little guys in person. So many people are already in love with them! The Lord has truly blessed your little family. Miracles have not ceased -- thank you for letting all of us be a small part in this one. Go home and enjoy the blessings -- even at the 2:00 a.m. feedings!
We love you,
Aunt Carol

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Wow, they are finally here. You both have done an amazing job staying sane and focused throughout the whole pregnancy, and now you get to enjoy your reward. We're so happy for you! We'd love to come visit while you are in the hospital, but as our whole household has been sick recently, we'll wait it out until you get home.

Your boys are beautiful!
