Cabinets Take Two

I guess enough time had passed since the re-doing of my kitchen cabinets because I got the itch again...and just couldn't help but to scratch. So the remaining cabinets in our house (thankfully we don't have that many of them) just got a face-lift. They have been washed, sanded, primed, painted, glazed, & finished. If anyone cares to know the details, I used a creamy white latex paint called "Cottage White" and topped it with a Mocha colored glaze to give them an antique looking finish to them. This was my first time using a glaze and it was so super easy. Don't be afraid of it...it's way fun. They got 4 coats of polyurethane to help protect them. We also added some basic hardware too. I'm more than pleased with the results (and in my biased opinion, the pictures don't even begin to give them justice).Laundry Room Before

They look really great! How did you do that one part of wood that comes down from the counter? Do you know what I am talking about? Did you just tape it off and paint it?

Those cabinets are so pretty! I'm glad you found my blog. It's funny, but you can get to know a person pretty well from just reading a blog. See, now I know your handy with a paint brush. I might need that information someday! :) And your boys are so cute!

I love your cabinets. And I hate mine. But that is what you get when you are still renting. I have your before ones but I am just glad to have so many of htem right now in my huge kitchen. I love that you did it all yourself. And cool that you have a supportive husband to let you do all of that. Luke always gets scared of my "projects". Way to go, tehy are are so pretty.
