My friend recently did a post that I haven't stopped thinking about. She made me think about all of the apologies that I should probably make. As embarrassing as they might be, I don't think I'll be able to sleep until I finally get them out!
Mom: I'm sorry that during my piano lessons, I would purposefully do the exact opposite of what you were asking me to do, just to bug you. I'm sorry that I tortured you to the point of you breaking down and sending me to another teacher, which happened to be the BEST thing you could have ever done for me!
Shane: I'm sorry that during our hospital stay, I made you go ask the nurses for more blueberry muffins almost every single night, making them think that you were the one consuming hundreds of muffins rather than me. Although, as sneaky as I thought I was, those nurses are smarter than you think and knew the truth!
Shane, again: I'm sorry that every night when it comes time to say our family prayers, I think of every excuse possible & act like a complete child so that I don't have to say the prayer.
Shane....again: I'm sorry that I could write hundreds of "bottled up apologies" just for you.
Lindsay (sister #1): I'm sorry that while we shared a room & bed, I would cross our imagionary line and then tell Mom & Dad that you were the one doing it rather than me.
Lindsay & Lauren (sister #1 & #2): I'm sorry that I'm the overbearing big sister that I vowed I'd never be. You know, the one who gives you advice & lectures without you ever asking for it? I'm sorry that even though I'm apologizing for it, I will likely do it again, as in, the next time I talk to you!
Katy (friend): I'm sorry that you always had to ask me to come over to your house to play, just so I could fulfill my fantasy of riding the bus home from school.
Natalie (sis-in-law): I'm sorry that I was immature in high school & held a child-like grudge against you for your ridiculously good looks & angel-like voice. Oh how I wanted to be you as a sophomore in Madrigals. I hope you know how much I absolutely LOVE you!
Amanda (friend & college roomie): I'm sorry I made you sleep on the top bunk in our second apartment. I don't know why you let me get away with that!
Amanda, again: I'm sorry I made you circle the library with me over & over again, pretending to be doing something really important just so that I could see my crush.
Marie (friend & college roomie): I'm sorry that I copied your recent post. You'd think I could be a little more origional.
Cade: I'm sorry that I put make-up on you (just a little powder) for your professional pictures.
Carson: I'm sorry that I made you sleep in a pack & play 90% of your first year. I'm happy to report that he's back in his comfy crib. Your mother really does love you!

This is such a cute post! What a great idea.
I think that's great. I might just have to copy too. Except my apologies would be much more embarrassing than that.
Oh how cute.... I love that even those people who you think are so perfect are real too.. It makes me feel a little better about myself for being mean to my little sis..
Yes, I should really do this too. But like Emily said, it'd be much more embarrassing. Yours are funny. And it's good to know you did retarded things to see your crush too. We're all lame together. :)
your apology is accepted!! Even though you lecture me all the time...I'm sure i need it. Thanks for being my big sis.
Dear, sweet Amy, if those are truly the things in your life you had yet to apologize for, then sister you are doing GREAT.
haha! I love the prayer one because I have the same apology to make too!! I can't understand why I do that either...it makes no sense at all!! I just might need to do this post! Cute post Ami Ja!
and I had to come back and say I LOVE your picture in the header...I was just looking at their sweet little faces...they make my heart melt! So cute!
I loved this. It was so funny. I couldn't even begin to get all mine in a single post so I don't think I'll even try, but I really did enjoy reading this.
Thats awesome. Do you feel better now?
I'll forgive you... I guess. It will be nice to finally be free of that serious grudge I have been unable to shake all these years. Having you over to play was absolutely only for your benefit. I never enjoyed any of it. The fact that I invited you over non stop was just service to you. Yes, I was very altruistic at the age of 6, 7, etc.
Ha! i never knew about your love for the bus... and I thought walking home was cool... weird.
This is too funny! I love it! I thought for a second that I should do one too, but then I realized that my apologies wouldn't be as cute as yours...probably embarrassing. :)
I have been planning a post just like this with a title something like Katy's confession one...weird. You guys are reading my mind! :) Your background is super cute too! Thanks for your kind words on Katy's blog!! You are awesome!
haha! I'm so glad you did this! Except, you have nothing to be ashamed of! And no need to apologize for "copying me," since I just copied someone else. Plus I'm all about copying! :)
I loved reading this!
I think that was great. I loved and laughed at what you wrote. For real, I keep laughing about your apology to Carson for sleeping in the pack-n-play. And I should apologize to Jace for the same reason as Shane’s #2 apology. What you wrote is so genuinely cute. Is genuinely a word? We need to get together and play soon (both accountants, both mommy's, both Carson's and Cade and Maeley)
HA HA HA!! I'll tell you why I slept on the top...in hopes my snoring and talking in my sleep would be muffled out by the ceiling. :) And if you are going to apologize for making me walk around campus with you, I should apologize for the fake scavenger hunt I made you go on so that I could see my crush!! I should also apologize for appearing as a dog in a birthday video made for you....oh the nightmares that must have caused :)
