My dear friend Christy will be welcoming her 1st GIRL in about 2 weeks!!! I still can't believe it. She has 3 boys so this baby girl will be surrounded by lots of brotherly love...mud, bugs, trucks, more mud, weapons, super heroes, and more mud! Her life is gonna be blessed, to say the least. I am beyond excited for their family. It was the perfect opportunity to throw a party...and you better believe it was gonna be all things girly! I had a so much fun and it turned out great.
I centered the decor around three pictures that Christy has for her nursery. Vintage paper dolls. I am so in love with them.
Cupcakes by the amazing
Cake Lady, Stephanie. They were delish.
I have to give credit where it is due. My mom came to my rescue and hooked me up with all of her dishes and pearls...they couldn't have been more perfect. Thanks Mom.
And a few of the guests. We didn't quite catch them all on camera...Dang.

Now. Let's take a little stroll down memory lane, shall we? I met Christy I believe in 2006...I remember being introduced to her and Jason at church when they were first investigating the church and shaking their hands. Shortly after that, we got together. Our first outing with the Huszars was to Bogus Basin snowboarding. Oh we were so young & FREE then. Sometimes I forget what it was like before children! That night was the start to one of my most cherished of friendships. Shortly after, I became pregnant with the twins and she was my biggest cheerleader. She would stop by at my work to visit and was the first to ask how I was doing. Then, at 24 weeks, I was put on bedrest in the hospital. Christy was there with me every week. Every week! She made sure to call me regularly, delivered TCBY to my room, threw me a surprise shower in the hospital, and came to listen as I cried. Christy was one of my greatest blessings at that time. I will never forget it and am forever touched and grateful for her love.
While I was in the hospital, Christy became pregnant with her first child Emery. Our boys were born 6 months apart. This is me and Christy at her shower for Emery. I think Carson and Cade were 3 months old or so.
I LOVE this woman!!!!! She is strong, compassionate, fun, & faithful. These last 6 years we have shared so much. She is always there for me. Always! Right after one of our failed IVF attempts, guess who showed up at my door...flowers in hand and tears in her eyes. Just what I needed.
And we are experiencing one of the greatest and hardest of life experiences together...raising our children. I can't wait to hold baby Ellie. I get emotional thinking about it. Thank you Christy for being the greatest!
