Two Days Late

Blessed because of them.

Back On The Horse!

Our friends were nice enough to take our fam out on their boat. The last time I went was when I was pregnant with the twins. Last summer I wasn't able to ever go, which was a shame. It felt good to get out on the water again. You just can't go wrong with boating. It's always a good time and our boys did really well.Daddy's cuddle-bug Cade. He sat like this forever.

Both fighting to play captain

The boat practically put them both to sleep. I think this is the longest Carson has ever sat on my lap. I tried to take in as much of it as I could.

Cade with Jason. This picture reminds me a bit of What About Bob? "I'm sailing....I'm sailing!" Cade just looks so stiff!

A decent family shot!

Part Two: Time in Twin...aka pictures with Grandpa

We spent the weekend in Twin on our way back from Park City. As always, it was a fun visit. We happen to be there during Western Days...that really made it feel like home! So we took the boys to the parade, their first one! They did really well, until we had a little incident. Cade got sunscreen in his eyes...and it all went downhill from there. Thankfully, my dad and Lauren were there to help us out. We also got to eat us some Cafe Rio...twice. It was a great end to a great week.

It has been fun to watch my dad as a grandpa. He loves to show off his grandsons like no one else. He also insists that he hold BOTH boys at the same time...all of the time. I love it. I just think it's cute. Thanks for being such a fun grandpa, Dad.

I love these pictures of my cousin Jenny and her family...minus baby McKay.
My Dad with both boys and the Freddy's Bear.

Cade's little eye was so red and puffy from the sunscreen. Poor little guy.
Dad taking Carson for a ride on his lawn mower. Don't worry, the blades weren't on!

And, of course, he wanted to take both of them for a ride...at the same time. This made me a little nervous. But they loved it.

Week of Travel...part ONE

We got to spend almost a week in Park City with Shane's family. It was a great little get-away. We got to swim, shop, watch movies, eat yummy food and even relax a little (thanks to the help of Grandma). It was definitely worth the drive.
The boys kept running passed each other, which most often leads to a collision. This picture captured of small piece of the collision.

I love this picture.

Cade Has Somethin' to Say

He holds these long, intense conversations with anybody that will listen. We still haven't quite figured out what he's saying...most of the time.

Summer vacation videos

Here's a clip of Carson playing with the family dog, Addy. He pats Addy the same way he pounds on the table, or any hard surface for that matter. We think he's hilarious.

The boys enjoyed playing some chess in Park City with Grandma Tucker.

Latest Stats

The boys had a recent visit to the Doctor for their 18 month visit. Our last visit was relatively uneventful. They did well...despite their shots. This time, however, they put up a fight. They fussed and whined from the second we stepped into the room to the second we left. It was like they knew it wasn't a happy place. They were such a handful. Glad we don't have to go very often. In the end, we learned what we pretty much already knew. They are both happy, healthy, and very different from each other.

Cade is still our little light-weight. He weighed 21 lbs. which landed him in the 3rd percentile. His height is in the 6th percentile.

Carson is growin' like a weed. In comparison to his last visit, he has jumped quite a bit on the growth charts. He weighs 24 lbs. which is the 30th percentile. He's also 2 inches taller than Cade.

I love that these two little men are so different from one another. We always joke that we're going to have Shane & Brady twins...which if you know Shane's family at all, you know that they hardly look like brothers...physically. We act like it's a bad thing but really, I'm more than OK with that!!!
