Part V: Cypress Swamp & MS River

On the road again! The boys loved traveling with Grandma & Grandpa. They are still talking about Grandpa's truck, and they were showered with endless goodies in the back seat with Grandma, so there was minimal complaining.
Driving on "yazoo clay" was an experience alone. I've never driven on such roller coaster-type roads. My tummy even had butterflies on some of the dips in the roads. It's a good thing I don't suffer from car sickness...that would have been miserable! But we made it to Cypress Swamp.

The swamp was eerily beautiful. The trees really are something to see and it was just peaceful...except for all the comments from the men about the alligators that were sure to be lurking around us.

This is the best we got when trying to get a picture of the two of them together.

Overlook of the Mississippi River

I think this picture is funny. Hey, let's put Carson by the cannon and take a picture! This one just makes me laugh.

Me and my favorite FIL! We should have planned which camera we were looking at.

What a fun trip. I am so glad the boys did well traveling, makes the trip that much nicer. I am sure Shane's parents were so happy to have you come.
