Goin' Down to Jackson...Part I

We finally set out on the journey that we were so anxious and excited about. We took the first step of getting our li'l family across the country to see their Parents/Grandparents, who the boys now think live in the computer, and got in our car...destination SLC. This was our first 5 hour leg of the race and it went flawlessly. Seriously. We made the entire drive without busting out any movies (I'm now patting myself on the back...again). We sang songs galore, ate lots of fun munchies, went back and forth making silly noises and laughs, read some books, and then they unexpectedly did this... and this...

And I was like...
And then we were like...

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
We got to spend time with my sister that night. She and Wynn were beyond excellent hosts and bed us all down in their tiny but cozy apartment. I didn't sleep a wink that night and not because it wasn't comfortable. I was sick with anxiety over what was to come. Why is it that when we need good rest that we can't let ourselves get it! So backwards, but that's just the way it is sometimes. We were up bright and early that morning ready to tackle the next day of travel.
Stay tuned...

That is so awesome! I know exactly what you are talking about!! So funny that all of us moms are all doing the same thing. We also save the best weapon for last... usually candy or movie. And you are so famous now... I saw you on AFV!! So awesome!

Hahaha! Nice work mama! Travelling with kids is difficult. I'm patting you on the back too, virtual style.
