June Good-Byes

Last week, we said our good-byes to Shane's parents. We had the opportunity to go with them to Salt Lake where they would be set-apart for their mission and enter the MTC. My parents watched our boys so that we could go and we are so grateful. To be with all of Shane's family without the kiddos (except for the newest grand baby) was...well...it was awesome! We had such a good time. The night before, we were able to just visit, laugh, and reminisce. We also shared some faith-building moments as well. I thought it was a great way to spend our time together. Good bonding moments...cheesy but true! The next morning we met with Elder Cook and Elder Gonzales. What an awesome experience. It was amazing. I'm so grateful to have shared in this experience with Shane and his family. There was a feeling there we won't soon forget. My testimony was strengthened. My faith increased. I am ever grateful.

The whole fam.

I love your parent in laws! We were in the same ward as them for 3 years I think when we still lived in Twin. Such nice people.

That must have been sad for you guys. I HATE goodbyes. Hate them. That is awesome that you were able to all hang out without any distractions for a night! I bet that was nice! Anyway, I love the Tucker family!

You are very welcome! And to answer your question, Michael was about 22 months when he really started to use utensils well. I did give them to him before then but it was more of a tool he used to fling food farther. But I was the same way, I never wanted the mess. I just came to terms with the fact that I had to sweep, and clean after every meal and he learned how to eat by himself. And know I can do something else as eats.

My parents got to be in Provo with them too and I heard about how wonderful the conference was. SO MANY CHANGES. I guess life was never supposed to stay the same. Your family will be so blessed. These pictures made me get choked up. It feels like a little representation of what I will have to do in the near...near future. I hope Tom is well.

Look forward to seeing you
