Watch Out M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I!!!

These two are goin' on a mission!!! Shane's dad has recently been called to serve as the Mission President of the Jackson, Mississippi Mission. Annette will serve as his companion. They leave at the end of June and will serve for 3 years.

We have bittersweet feelings about their new adventure. We are thrilled about this awesome opportunity but we also can't help but to feel mournful about the long miles that will separate us. They have been very involved grandparents and it will be hard to have them so far away. We take for granted having them so close & we depend on them way too much. We will definitely have some withdrawal issues, but we'll get over it! The great news is...we can go visit!

We love you and are so excited about the new adventures that await you in Mississippi. You will do SUCH a great job. You are such wonderful parents and the BEST In-Laws a girl could ask for...really, the BEST!!! We are blessed to have you in our lives and are better people because of your endless love and support.

Don't you feel so lucky to have such great in-laws? Me too! I have some friends that can't stand theirs :) What an awesome opportunity for them...you're right, you'll just have to make a trip down South!

Hey Amy! Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you after you commented on my blog. It was a fun surprise to hear from you. I wish all of us cousins could be closer to get to know each other better, especially now that we all have our own family and kids. Someday maybe... I know, I can't believe Nancy just got married. I feel so old too. CRaZY! My in-laws just told us that in a couple of years they are thinking about a mission too. It's still a couple of years away, but I am already dreading it because we will miss them. Good thing you can visit. Hope all is well! Don't know how you do it with twins...:)

How exciting! That probably came as quite a shock.

So, with Natalie's parents coming back soon, now Shane's parents are leaving, does that mean YOUR parents are next?!?!

Thanks for stopping by a few weeks ago. It is always fun to see you. Let me know when you are down next.
